Juhee Jhalani, Ph.D., Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Jhalani earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from St. John’s University and completed her doctoral internship at AHRC, Family and Clinical Services in New York City.
Dr. Jhalani is a New York State Licensed psychologist. She treats a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, disruptive behavior disorders, trauma, relationship concerns, and obesity. She is a general practitioner, working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She specializes in assisting individuals and families cope with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum Disorders and intellectual disabilities.
Dr. Jhalani is trained in palliative care (end-of-life management) and psycho-oncology (cancer management). She helps patients manage psychological, behavioral, and social aspects of chronic medical illnesses. She helps individuals and families manage stress and cope effectively with acculturation issues.
Her style of therapy is client centered, warm, emphatic, and collaborative. She practices evidence based cognitive behavioral treatments along with techniques from other therapeutic modalities. Dr. Jhalani is bilingual, fluent in both English and Hindi.
