Merav Harris, Psy.D., Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Harris earned her Doctorate of Psychology (Psy.D.) from St. John’s University and completed her doctoral internship at the Albert Ellis Institute in Manhattan.
Dr. Harris is a New York State Licensed Psychologist trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), rational-emotive behavior therapy (REBT) and other empirically supported psychotherapies. She has experience treating children and adults who present with anxiety, depression, OCD, autism spectrum, anger and self-harming behaviors. She has experience supporting children, adolescents and their families with behavioral and emotional in both home and school settings. She also has significant experience in psychological, psychoeducational and neuropsychological testing.
Dr. Harris provides an action-oriented psychotherapy experience that teaches individuals to identify, challenge, and replace their self-defeating beliefs with healthier ones, while promoting emotional well-being and goal achievement.
In a collaborative model, Dr. Harris and her patients work towards constructing adaptive views of their circumstances through a highly evaluative process. She provides psychotherapy services in English and Hebrew.
