Let’s Talk Psychological Wellness, P.C. (“Let’s Talk,” “we,” “us,” or “our”)

1) Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you:

  • Visit talkingforwellness.com and related pages that link to this Policy
  • Submit information through our website forms (including “Contact Us” forms)
  • Request or schedule a consultation through linked scheduling tools
  • Subscribe to communications (e.g., newsletter, updates, resources)
  • Communicate with us by email, phone, or other channels outside of active treatment

Important note about clinical privacy (HIPAA + professional confidentiality)

If you become a therapy or testing client, your clinical information may be considered Protected Health Information (PHI) and is handled under applicable confidentiality rules and, where applicable, HIPAA and state law. Clients receive our Notice of Privacy Practices (or equivalent clinical privacy notice) as part of intake/onboarding.

This Website Privacy Policy does not replace clinical informed consent or HIPAA notices. It is focused on website and administrative interactions.

2) “Confidentiality-first” commitments (especially for professionals and students)

We understand that many people who reach out to us—leaders, early‑career professionals, and college students—need a high level of privacy and confidentiality. While no online activity can be guaranteed to be risk-free, we design our processes around privacy principles:

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We limit access to inquiries and scheduling information to authorized staff and clinicians who need it to respond to you.
  • We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information.
  • We do not contact your employer, school, colleagues, or family without your written authorization, except in limited situations required by law.

A note on workplace email and devices

If you use a work email addressemployer-managed device, or employer network, your employer may have policies or technical controls that allow monitoring or access. For maximum privacy, we recommend using a personal email address and personal device and phone number.

A note on insurance and privacy (especially for students and anyone on a family plan)

Using insurance may generate an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) or claim record that could be accessible to the policyholder or others on the plan, depending on your insurer’s practices. If privacy is a concern, you can ask your insurer about confidential communications options. If you pursue out-of-network reimbursement, insurers may require diagnosis and limited clinical information to process claims.

3) What information we collect

  1. A) Information you provide to us

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact details: name, email address, phone number

Sensitive information (including mental health information)

If you choose to include health- or mental-health-related information in forms, emails, or voicemails, we may receive and store that information. This may be considered sensitive personal information under some privacy laws and may be considered health information.

Please do not include highly sensitive clinical details (e.g., diagnoses, medications, trauma specifics) in website forms or unencrypted email. If you are unsure what to share, keep it general and we will guide next steps through appropriate channels.

Our website is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 through the website. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
